Eating Disorders Specialists represents the collaborative efforts of
professionals with varied expertise in the treatment of eating disorders.
AEDS’s mission is to serve as an open forum for interdisciplinary
professionals to gain and disseminate knowledge of eating disorders in an
effort to provide exemplary treatment and to act as a cohesive resource
within the community. If you are a family member or friend of someone
struggling with an eating disorder, please visit The National Eating
Disorder Association. They have a wonderful friends and family
network.

Vision
We
recognize the personal, familial, and cultural/media pressures that
contribute to the establishment of an eating disorder. AEDS is
committed to addressing eating disorders from a systemic perspective.
Our Goals
The
goals of AEDS are three fold. Our desire is to provide
Hope, Help, and
Healing for the Austin community and Central
Texas. Each aspect of this long term goal is designed to work with
both professionals and community members to support eating disorders
prevention and treatment. |
